It has always been a child's dream of mine to build a 'submarine', and for a long long time it stayed a dream until I saw a TV program on Discovery Channel about Home Built ROV's. I knew my dream could become a fact.

Who am I?

Mine name is Marc, 48 years old, living in Belgium, and this website will become a record for my trail and errors building my ROV, developing its software etc.

I chosen the name Bel-ROV for my projects as Bel-ROV stand for Belgian ROV and the .org extension since this may become a organization of people interested in ROV's. At least that is what I hope.

I don't want to spend to much time for now it a good looking website since the ROV comes first, but I'm aiming to improve it as we go.

Financial support from friends, family and others is always welcome of course.

Why is the site made up in English? Simply because the larger group of people active within the ROV community, comes from or reside in the USA and the UK. A Dutch version will follow in the near future.
